Event Description: Yaatra, Exhibition of Paintings by Dr Anjali Solanki
Artist's Comment: I am an artist by heart, art is an essential part of my life not just as a means of self-expression rather pleasure of the journey captivates me. As a spectator, I perceive the colourful drama of life and carried by impulse of curiosity.
Initially, my paintings emerge out of ordinary experience and gradually transform into refined form with deeper understanding of that particular experience. They depict vulnerability, fragility and sufferings of life along with the quest to attain unison with the environment. Agony is not limited to human life, it finds its place also in dilapidated and shattered houses. At times, it is reflected in the vastness of nature which is so powerful yet so calm just waiting to burst unlimited emotions.
Education: self-directed learning through books and practising works of eminent artists
Formal Education: MBBS, MD(Pathology), Karnal (Haryana)
Profession: Painter, Pathologist, Medical Teacher
