Event Description : Dastango Fouzia staging a dramatic reading of Kallo. A story set in pre-partition India, two women are brought together by fate and they begin living together. Carrying shades of female queerness, Pakistani author Sameena Nazeer says that she wrote Kallo in a bid to tell the untold stories of women who have been rejected by society. Reminiscent of the era of Ismat Chugtai, this urdu afsana is narrated with relish by Fouzia Dastango.
