Artists : Sitar Recital by Sh Subrata De accompanied by Ustad Akram Khan (Tabla), Dhrupad Recital by Mullick Brothers with Sh. Gaurav Shankar Upadhyay (Pakhawaj) And Flute Recital by Pt. Chetan Joshi accompanied by Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra (Tabla) followed by Odissi Dance Recital by Vidushi Jyoti Srivastava
Pracheen Kala Kendra is going to organize a two day music and dance extravaganza to celebrate all three aspects of Indian Classical Art forms, viz, Gayan, Vadan and Nritya at 7th Guru M. L. Koser Music and Dance Festival, in memory of the founder of internationally renowned musical organization Late Guru Madan Lal Koser, who was an eminent shiv tandava dancer himself as well as an extraordinary organizer and promoter of Indian Classical Art forms.
The 7th edition of this two day festival will feature Gayan (Singing) , Vadan (Instrumental) and Nritya (Dance), all three aspects of Indian Classical Art forms.
The two day event which will take place every day from 6:30 pm onwards at Triveni Kala Sangam Auditorium in Mandi House will feature big names in the world of Indian Classical Music.
The grand festival will kick off with Sitar recital by widely-travelled eminent sitarist Sh. Subrata De. He will be accompanied on Tabla by acclaimed maestro of Ajrada gharana Ustad Akram Khan. The first day will also feature Dhrupad Vocal recital by the Mullick Brothers, namely Prashant and Nishant Mullick, both of whom are very promising torch bearers of the art.
The second day will feature flute recital by popular maestro Pt. Chetan Joshi who will indulge the audience with his brilliance of melodies alongside another maestro on Tabla, Pt. Ram Kumar Mishra, a name that needs no introduction. The festival will conclude with the gracious Odissi dance recital by virtuoso Vidhushi Jyoti Srivastava, one of the most renowned figures of the field who will be accompanied by very talented artists live on stage, the enliven the performance even further.
Pracheen Kala Kendra's Registrar, noted Kathak dancer and SNA awardee will also be present at this festival who will be honoring the artists and bless the event with her prsence.
The entry is free for all and is expected to have footfalls of senior journalists and musicians.
