Event Description : MUSIC : Indie music with Hanita Bhambri
Hanita Bhambri is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter who gave up the idea of "the good life" to follow her passion for music. She started writing when she was 11, only to realise she had little talent when it came to singing. But the voice in her head was honest so she sang and she wrote. Till her expression became akin to a language. Her songs are about her melancholic reflections about love and loneliness, inseparable at times. Through her words, she hopes to connect with people who are as hopelessly lost and romantic about life as her.
She'll be joined by Vignesh Iyer on the guitar and Divakar Nambiath on harmony vocals and keys.
About Vignesh Iyer:
Originally from the city of Mumbai, he is a diploma holder from the Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music based in Chennai. The 28-year-old accomplished guitar player was awarded a certificate for 'Outstanding Potential' at the end of his stay in the academy. He has had an incredible amount of experience playing for a number of bands as a session player and has played at venues like Blue Frog, Hard Rock Cafe, Depot 48, The Piano Man Jazz Club and many other venues around Delhi and Mumbai. Vignesh also teaches music professionally at the One World School of Music, Bridge Music Academy and offers private lessons to interested students.
About Divakar Nambiath:
Divakar Nambiath is a vocalist and keyboardist based out of New Delhi. His influences range from Michael Jackson to Musiq Soulchild to Neo-Soul and Pop Fusion. He is mostly a self-taught musician and recently graduated from Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, and was a leading member of its music society, namely 'Music'. As a member of Music, Divakar conducted the Western Choir in his final year and represented the society as a solo, band and choir vocalist.
