Event Description : THEATRE : Renaisstance Theatre Society presents "Main Bhi Bachchan" Hindi Comedy Play
MAIN BHI BACHCHAN is a humorous musical about the protagonist Vijay Deenanath Chauhan from Auraiya(U.P.). A die-hard fan of Amitabh Bachchan the town of Auraiya lauds him as their Bachchan. Vijay is tired of performing at the local Ramleela. The praises are not enough. His dream is much bigger and conflicts are plenty. Life is a stage and he has only one character to play- Amitabh Bachchan- to be famous, to be a star like his idol. The play takes us on his journey from rural setting to the hustle bustle of the busy city Delhi to the city of dreams Mumbai. His beloved Rekha is waiting back in the village. The antagonist, a local goon aspiring to be an MLA threatens Vijay's parents. The trouble is he is also Rekha's father. Main Bhi Bachchan is an action- packed dosage of bollywood masala in a rustic fashion with songs and dance from Bollywood. The play does not have a single dull moment and keeps the audience enthralled.
