Event Description : DANCE "Mahashweta" Dance-drama based on the book Mahashweta written by Sudha Murty.
Choreographed in the Bharatnatyam style, this dance-drama revolves around the story of a simple, but intelligent village girl, who contracts leukoderma after marriage and is shunned by her family as well as the society. However, her will-power urges her to pull on and ultimately she recognises her inner strength and makes a place for herself in the society
Concept and Direction: Rasika Gumaste.
Choreography and presentation: Kalasakta for the Promotion of Classical Dance.
