Event Description : FILM "Turning the Tide - The Fisher Folk of Tamil Nadu".

The boatmen of Tamil Nadu, while observing the season Wadai (September-February), catch fish and sing songs. They predict the ocean currents just by looking at the colour of the clouds. The documentary highlights their lifestyle through their cultural and rituals.
