Our patrons not only have an opportunity to add to their art collections and select from the finest and most authentic works of Indian art, but also help us raise funds for disadvantaged sections of the society.”

About the artists & artworks:

While Late M. Sivanesan paintings have a breezy impressionist style representing the pastoral scene in an idyllic setting, the show also has abstract works by Padma Bhushan recipient, Ram Kumar, who is one of India’s most eminent painters. There are abstract works by another legendary Padma Bhushan winner, Syed Haider Raza, who took to drawing at age 12. His oil/acrylic works are marked with a rich use of colour, replete with icons from Indian cosmology.

Another participating artist, K.S Radhakrishnan, is one of the most notable among the new generation of sculptors and has successfully brought about a definitive resurgence in Indian sculpting. His works are found in a number of public and private collections all over the world. Anupam Sud grew as an artist under the guidance of Somnath Hore in Delhi and her work is greatly influenced by her mentor. Sud works mainly with intaglio prints and infuses them with her knowledge of different intaglio processes with lithography and screen-printing.
Shuvaprasanna, an active member of the "Calcutta Painters" group, has used Kolkatta as his muse in many of his works. Shuvaprasanna boasts a precise, finely executed style that yields an unmistakable visual intensity. He works comfortably in an assortment of media, including oil on canvas, charcoal, and mixed media.

Among the many other artists, the show also includes artworks by Gogi Saroj Pal who works in different media like oil, gouache, ceramics, weaving, graphics and installations. The iconography of woman is an important feature of Gogi Saroj Pal's work and her images are always rich with context.
