Event Description : THEATRE "Manohar Kahaniya - The Suzette Jordan Story" Hinglish Play. 
The first offering in ORDER! ORDER! ORDER! Akshara's Festival of Courtroom showcasing riveting and compelling Indian and international plays centred around the courtroom, the processes of law, the legal luminaries who practice law and the very concept of justice.  
Manohar Kahaniya is one of the many stories that are being written once every 15 minutes in our country. This is the story of Suzette Jordan, Kolkata rape victim and her story shows how trials happen not just behind the closed doors of the court room, but there are savage social and media trials conducted on the streets, in newsprint and the ever expanding visual media. These trials are far more disparaging to issues of basic human dignity and tolerance. Suzette Jordan's story is just one of the 24,923 stories - the Manohar Kahaniya - written in 2012 and it shows how Suzette was raped by the authorities, the courts and the public as much as by the men in the car.
