Event Description : Mahatma Gandhi International Foundation, Montreal-Canada In collaboration with Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Azad Bhawan, New Delhi Cordially invite you to "The Art of Peace" An exhibition of drawings and paintings by young artists and Suraj Sadan.

Since 1969, Suraj Sadan, who is a visual artist, has been dedicated to the promotion of the nonviolent philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi. În 2006, he set up the Mahatma Gandhi International Foundation to promote the message of peace and nonviolence in the world. Accompanying Gandhi’s writings with his own drawing and paintings. In 2008, the Foundation launched an art exhibiton to encourage young people aged 15 to 25 to creatively explore the ideals and message of nonviolence through art, and to follow the path of nonvilence. The Contest has enabled young artists from Canada, the USA, France, and India to take part and share their work around the world. This exhibition at the Art Gallery of Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Azad Bhawan, New Delhi will be showcasing the winners from this annual contest from 2008 to 2015. Specific themes explored by the sparticipants included peace, friendship, love for animals, love for nature, and care for elderly. The Foundation also works on promoting the nonviolent philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi through conferences by nonviolence advocates.
