Event Description : CMS Vatavaran presents "Europe's Last Wild Horses" documentary film screening.
This programme, shot in stunning cinema-quality HD with well-directed application of elaborate slow-motions, aerials, camera-drives, macro-photography and underwater-cameras, celebrates wildlife in a cultural landscape where nobody would expect such richness in rare species and behavior. Apart from the horses' behavior in the course of one year, the film features moor frogs in their blue mating colour, the mighty Eurasian eagle owl nesting and hunting in extreme slow-motion, the elusive European otter hunting and swimming, extreme macro-photography of carnivorous sundew plants, the European hedgehog making acquaintance with the wild horses before going into hibernation, amongst others. Surely one of the most stunning and rarely if ever filmed sequences is that of the European viper in their mating period and later giving birth.
