Event Description : Dance Union, an initiative of Gati Dance Forum, invites you to attend the first of a series of monthly discussions entitled ‘Renewing Delhi’s Dance Infrastructure’ on January 25, 2014.
Dance Union grew out of a two-year project called Working in Research, Advocacy and Policy (W.R.A.P.), which was launched in 2011 in New Delhi. The primary aim of the project is to intervene in and improve the infrastructure available for dancers in the city through community-led efforts that involve the active participation of dancers.
The inaugural discussion will address concerns regarding the state of physical infrastructure and resources available for dancers in New Delhi. The first event comprises of an exhibition tracing the history of existing spaces in the city, curated by Gati Dance Forum, and will be followed by an interactive discussion over some hot tea.
Dance Union has been supported by Goethe-Institut/ Max Mueller Bhavan and Royal Norwegian Embassy!
