Event Description : VSK Baithak with Shruti Sadolikar-Katkar.
Shruti Sadolikar is a rare and multifaceted vocalist who is acknowledged amongst the leading and best known exponents of Orthodox Jaipur Atrauli Gharana Gayaki. This is her primary identity. What sets her apart from other leading vocalists is not just the distinctive texture of her honed voice but as much her uncompromising rendition of Jaipur Atrauli Gayaki grounded in tradition.
 Though Shruti Sadolikar is ssessentially known as a Khayal exponent she also truly surprises everyone with her exceptional ability to bring alive the emotive content of Puarb Ang Gayaki. She is among those very few who not only sings in the spirit of the song but is also able to evoke the “Mizaj” of the composition in all its varied hues.

VSK Baithaks are more about experiencing the joy of Indian Classical music. They are as much a celebration of this invaluable heritage and a tribute to those who have helped or are helping sustain this heritage.
