6:30 pm - AJNABI : In this adaptation of Albert Camus The Stranger, Arun suffers alienation from himself and the world. When he attends the funeral of his mother, he finds that he does not feel much grief; neither is he concerned about observing the social formalities of mourning. The day after his mothers funeral, Arun becomes involved in an affair with a girl. He is not worried about a murder case against him also. The judge announces him to be guilty of murder and sentence him to death but Arun can hardly believe the verdict, for he has never thought of himself as a criminal. Will he now approach his death like he has approached his life - with indifference? Will his existence after death be less absurd; will he be more closely aligned with the universe?
