Event Description : La Sirène music concert.
La Sirène, Genève, results from the meeting of the Fanfare Municipale du Grand-Saconnex, established in 1878, on one hand, and of the Corps de Musique La Sirène, constituted in Geneva in 1900, on the other hand. The music band parades since the 80s in a uniform of English colonial style, lively red and blue, with a helmet decorated with a plume for special occasions.
La Sirène consists musicians who practice the contemporary and modern musical art. The company visits India during the month of March and will travel through Delhi and Jaipur besides other interesting heritage places in India.
Also featuring: Shri Paras Nath on the flute with Tablas in a musical dialogue with 30 musicians of La Sirène. The young flutist Paras Nath is from a dynasty of flautists, son and disciple of Pandit Amar Nath. At a young age he has to his credit several music recordings and has worked with international artists.
