Event Description : The Institute of Rural Research and Development (IRRAD) is pleased to invite you to the third annual conference on “Good Rural Governance and Citizen Participation” on the theme of 'Accountability at Grassroots - Experiences and Learning'.
We invite participation from all rural development stakeholders including community based organizations, non government organizations, students and faculty of law universities, academic institutes, government officials, corporate foundations and citizens.
Objective of the Conference :
Share knowledge and experiences of 'Accountability at Grassroots' and strengthen capacity
of practitioners using it for improving rural governance.
Build partnerships among citizens, universities, research institutes, NGOs and community
based organizations for research and action on accountability mechanisms at grassroots in
India.
Draw on the collective expertise and experience of citizens, NGOs and community based
organizations to influence policies on strengthening accountability mechanisms at the
grassroots.
Conference Format :
Day One: Panel discussions and experience sharing by citizens from different states.
Day Two: Visit to intervention villages in Mewat district, Haryana (60 km from Gurgaon).
