Event Details : Hari Singh and Sukhmani Malik are a mesmerizing musical duo from Chandigarh, who create and perform original fusion music. Their songs lace together the captivating sounds of Punjabi folk, Sufi and Hindustani classical with electronic beats. Their stirring soulful sounds have captured the hearts of people of all age groups, and transcended all boundaries.
Sukhmani’s unique voice is powerful and enchanting and Hari’s production skills are innovative and experimental. The duo has also collaborated with folk artists from Jaisalmer on a one-of-a-kind Electro-Qawwali project – a beautiful blend of Qawwali and folk music with energetic electronic sounds and beats.
They perform live around the nation enrapturing audiences and leaving them spellbound. Hari and Sukhmani also make music for feature films, the most recent being Deepa Mehta’s Videsh, Heaven on Earth.)
