Access to the Danger Zone
Directed by Peter Casaer and narrated by Daniel Day-Lewis, this documentary provides a harrowing look at the challenges of delivering humanitarian aid in armed conflicts. Access to the Danger Zone explores the strategies that Doctors Without Borders/ Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) uses to save lives in the world’s worst war zones, including Afghanistan, Somalia, and eastern Democratic Republic of Congo.

30th August : 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
The Invisibles
Produced by Javier Bardem, this film with five stories, The Invisibles is about those we do not want to see, but who end up appearing inside our fears and our unease, among other things, because they never stop existing. They are displaced people in Colombia, child soldiers in Uganda, and victims of Chagas disease, Sleeping Sickness, and sexual violence against civilians in the Democratic Republic of Congo. All of these stories belong to some of the forgotten crises where MSF works permanently.

31st August : 5:00 pm 6:30 pm
MSF (Un)Limited
Moving accounts of atrocities and humanitarian crises since the founding of MSF in 1971 are told using original footage with commentary by MSF staff. Staff are shown wrestling with their consciences, struggling with emotional involvement and receiving threats to their personal security. MSF (Un)Limited is a story of the ongoing internal debate and self-questioning by MSF when faced with the limits of humanitarian action.

31st August : 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Fire in the Blood
An intricate tale of ‘medicine, monopoly and malice’, Fire in the Blood tells the story of how Western pharmaceutical companies and governments aggressively blocked access to low-cost AIDS drugs for the countries of Africa and the global south in the years after 1996, causing ten million or more unnecessary deaths. Shot on four continents and including contributions from global figures such as Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu and Joseph Stiglitz, this is the never-before-told true story of the remarkable coalition which came together to stop ‘the Crime of the Century’ and save millions of lives in the process.

Accompanying Event : "While We Looked Away" photo exhibition by Sami Siva at Galerie Romain Rolland, Alliance Francaise De Delhi, 72, Lodhi Estate > 9am to 8pm on 28th August to 5th September 2014
