- About Wednesday Charity Club : They are into educating the economically weaker section of our society. In this effort They are greatly helped by the Principal and staff of the respective schools who recommend the really needy children who are also fairly good in their studies. They have been assisting students from Kannada School, many Government schools, Delhi Tamil Education Association and many other schools.
- They are running Vocational Centres in St.Mary’s School, Safdarjung Enclave and Apeejay School, Sheikh Sarai. They conduct Beautician Course and Cutting & Tailoring and Dress designing Course. These centres are run for the benefit of girls from poor families. Many of these girls have passed out and are gainfully employed. At present They have nearly 200 students in these centres. Nearly a thousand girls have benifitted from these income generation programmes. Many of our girls have participated in competitions and have won 1st prizes many of the times. A few of our girls are employed in reputed Beauty Parlours close to their place of stay. A few are also doing door service in few of the reputed localities of South Delhi.
- They are sponsoring the higher education of some of our meritorious students in colleges in Delhi University like St. Stephens, Venkateswara college to name a few.
- Our students have also made them proud by joining Professional colleges like Indian Institute Of Sciences, Bangalore. A few have joined Engineering Colleges, Polytechnics, Industrial Training Institutes, YWCA and ICWA.
- They are not concentrating just on the able bodied. They are educating a number of visually challenged and a few physically challenged students. They have students suffering from TB, epilepsy, nervous disorder etc. Wherever necessary They are also providing medical support to such students.
- They have made it a point to visit and assess, have a first hand knowledge of the needs of any organization which needs help before embarking on associating ourselves with them. It is also a process of educating ourselves, opening our eyes to make ourselves aware of the various needs of our society. This has enabled them to analyse the situations and come to a cohesive decision after thorough discussion amongst ourselves. Our criteria is only to help irrespective of caste, creed or religion.
- Our members had visited Sultanpur residential home for blind students. These blind students are just having a shelter with basic facilities. Given such a living condition the way they perform has immensely moved them to help them in the maximum possible way.
- Graduates, Post graduates and Teacher trainees.
- College fees, reader fees, writer fees and examination fees.
- Tape recorders, Audio tapes, subsequently CDs.
- Cricket bat, ball and accessories to participate in competitions in Lucknow. State level. Won 2nd prize.
- Many of them have joined as teachers in schools. Some of them are working in various offices in various capacities like telephone operator, despatch department employees etc.
- National Association for the blind. Sponsored tuition fees, gave blankets, cassettes and sponsored a feast for them.
- Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital. Have sponsored cataract surgery. They have given donations to buy medical equipment for the setting up of Pediatric Visual Training Centre.
- Visit to Naaz Foundation. Running an orphanage for AIDS afflicted children. Given donation.
- Visit to Katha . Donation for educational tools and stationaries
- Visit to SOS village- Donation.
- Visit to Prem Victor’s Deaf and Dumb School. Donated Hearing aids.
- Visit to Day home for Spastic Students run by the Parental Association of the Spastic
- Children. Donations were given.
- Visited the Chetna foundation started by Ms. Sita Chelliah and helped their centre for economically weaker section in various ways.
- Visited the Orphanage run by Anjana Rajagopalan in Noida. Sponsored a few students and also a few inmates who were not capable of schooling.
- Visited SShrishti Learning Centre for under privileged children and donated Sweaters to more than 100 students.
- Our Community Reach Efforts:
- They had run a Balwadi in the slums adjacent to Kailash colony for some years. However They had to close it due to the disturbance of some unwanted elements in the slums as well as the colony. However They continued to support the education of those students. They are proud to mention that Shakthivel has become the Area Manager of Mc Donald chain of restaurants in Noida.
- Conducted Health Camp for mother and children in association with doctors from AIIMS. Held a Baby Show and awarded prizes to the winning healthy baby and the most aware mother.

- Health Check Up for all students of DTEA School, Janakpuri.
- They have also been involved in the rehabilitation of a few patients who had been cured of their ailments. They have assisted them by providing Wheel Chair, Crutches and artificial limbs. They have helped them in setting up tea stall, tailoring shop etc.
- OUTSIDE DELHI
- Visited Amaar Baari, the Home For The Widows Of Vrindavan run by Guild of Service.
- Gave sarees, petticoats and blouses. They also donated fans and coolers for their home. Spent time with them and a few of our members pleased them by speaking to them in Bengali.
- They have participated in a big way in collecting money, clothes and other goods for the cyclone affected people in Orissa and the Tsunami affected in Tamilnadu with reliable organizations.
- They have borne the complete expenses of education, boarding and lodging of Bharanidaran and Bharadwaj in Ramakrishna Mission School in Chengalpet.on the recommendation of their Delhi School Principal for these children had lost their parents. . Both of them are now employed in Delhi.
- They have participated in Fairs and Melas conducted by the Social welfare Board. They had had fun movements in these fund raising activities.
- They had a brain storming session of Right To Information conducted by professionals in this area. They got to learn how to format the questions. Some success stories were cited.
- They are thankful to many individuals and organizations who have lent them a supporting hand to make these happen.
- They at times take time out from our busy schedule to have fun for which They have to thank only our families for bearing with them.
- They as a group visited Amritsar. It was again a learning for them., the awe inspiring Golden Temple, the sympathy provoking Jhalianwala Bagh and the thought provoking Wagah Border. But the Paranthas and Tanga experience were mind boggling.
- The boat ride in Badkal lake , the visit to Akshardham, the farewell lunch for some of our moving out members at Saravana Bhawan , at Haldirams are all worth a mention.
- The trip to Indore also had its own charm and enjoyment.
- The adventurous trip to Himachal Pradesh, the best service oriented Radha Swami Satsang Hospital at Bota, the visit to Devi temples like Jwalaji, Kangra Devi etc and the most impressive Bhuddist Monastery at Dharmashala were indeed a lesson in our learning of giving.
