A ghazal can be understood as a poetic expression of both the pain of loss or separation and the beauty of love in spite of that pain.
The Delhi International Arts Festival presents four of the ace ghazal singers of the current age: Penaz Masani, one of the first ghazal singers to have been awarded a Platinum disc; Talat Aziz, the veteran with a soft and mellifluous voice; and Bhupinder and Mitali, the duo who combine their skills to give renditions full of feelings and emotions.
The Ghazal evening is part of the Purani Dilli experience that includes its fabled specialty streets and foods.

Transport : In keeping with the spirit of the Closing event of DIAF, special transport arrangements are being organized – Buses and Metro will ply until 12 midnight. Also special parking facilities available next to Town Hall.
