  • Program Info : The exhibition will feature art works of the guests artists of the Art Camp at AFD and the sculptors of a known French modern visual art artist Yom.
  • Yom
  • Yom is a sculptor, he is interested in the absence of material than in the material itself. His work digs into the physical dimension to reveal the invisible essential and the forces that inhabit each form. Yom bases his message on man and not on what man builds. Yom uses symbols (circles, squares, spheres, cubes, ovoids, etc), which, when combined, define a language through which he expresses his ideas. The shapes are pierced in three dimensions from one side to the other while respecting the classic principle of motion, i.e., in cutting cones or obelisks rather than cylinders or rectangles. This asymmetry creates a continuous imbalance that makes the visual perception of an object constantly vary. Therefore sculpture is revealing an immaterial volume made of light. Hollowing out a full body in three dimensions is to reach metaphorically speaking to a fourth dimension, it is meeting ineffable space.
